But the lows are so intense, that even though less frequent… they are actually overpowering in their small doses…. What now? You, alone, can control your actions and master your emotions. You have more to offer than you first think, and nobody should take that away from you.
Your aim should be to develop such strength as to want to see another individual happy with or without you…and be able to cope with that.
Wouldn’t that demonstrate ultimate strength? Wouldn’t that be the best outcome?
I understand that they’ve caused you pain, but imagine if you were so strong that you would be able to see them content without you; you were so strong that you would be able to manage your emotions rather than be overwhelmed by sadness. The advantages are vast:
i) This is the most effective way for them to come back to you
ii) If they don’t come back, you are fine anyway.
iii) You maintain your dignity
You should never be on your knees.
If you truly love/loved someone, then focus on being the hero genuinely, not for recognition…
Do it for yourself.
This does not mean that you shouldn’t try,
Of course you should.
You should fight for what you desire…but first figure out if…
it is actually what you desire.
Do they deserve the effort?
Have you been truthful to them about how you feel?
Have you tried to understand it from their point of view?
Have you apologised for all that you have done wrong?
Have you been truthful to yourself about how you feel?
