Shane was born and raised in London, UK.
Some time ago, he realised the true power of his words and the effect that they have on the many people that take the time to read and digest what he has written.
“ When darkness replaces direction, these words will provide a light that will guide you safely through the caves.”
Phases was initially an experiment. His first memoir, “Candle,” was written for a select group of individuals. The purpose: to let them know that they are not alone, that he understands how they feel, that there is hope.
“Heartbreak hurts, but refuse to let this emptiness suffocate you.
Yes they leak, and they flow
And at times they are uncontrollable;
But each drop glows in the sunlight.
And I promise you…
Although you fear continuing…
You are not ready to give up.”
Shane wrote a memoir consistently every month and sent it to this group of individuals.
Each time, there was a message.
Every time, he wanted them to follow the story.
By the time he had finished writing his last memoir, the transformation each individual had undergone was remarkable.
It is at this point, Shane decided that he wanted his message to reach as many people as possible.
He compiled all his memoirs together and titled his project “Phases.”
He went to other people and read out his work.
Some were reduced to tears, some inspired – ALL transformed.
“When you don’t know how or if you are going to get through something, I want you to know that there is a candle. Yes, it may be dim… but focus, and you will see it flicker. It will show you a path. Just follow my words…
If you can create your own darkness in a room full of light, I too, can show you the fire that is deep inside you.
Get up… and start walking…”
